Arabidopsis thaliana | Arabidopsis |
Arabidopsis serves as a model species for plants. It has a wealth of both genetic and genomic resources. The networks provided on this site were produced using publicly available samples of the Affymetrix ATH1 array. Two types of networks are currently available The first is a set of networks created by manually segregating input samples into categories by tissue type. The second is a knowledge-independent sorting of if input samples into groups of similar expression. (Photo by Sui-setz). Zea mays | Maize |
Maize is one of the world's most imporant food crops. Maize was used for pioneering research in genetics but currently lags behind rice in terms of resources for systems genetics studies. Maize serves as a candidate for network translational studies as associations implied in the rice networks may be translated to maize. The gene co-expression network for maize has been constructed from publicly available samples of the Affymetrix Maize Genome array. Oryza sativa | Rice |
Rice is one of the most important staple crops and serves as the model species for the Poaceae family of grasses. It is rich in both genomic and genetic resources. This site provides several co-expression networks for rice derived from publicly available samples using the Affymetrix GeneChip Rice Genome array. Genetic data from mutational studies, QTLs and GWAS have been incorporated to help explore the multi-functional behavior of genes.
